What to look for:
- Dark green banding between leaf veins
- Leaves may appear slightly thicker or leathery
- Subtle curling or cupping of the leaf surface
- Symptoms often visible when you hold the leaf up to light
Where it shows up:
- Typically starts on lower branches
- May affect only part of the tree at first
Why it matters:
Early detection is critical. Trees may still look "mostly healthy," but this is when intervention and monitoring are most effective.
