What to look for:
- Leaves become yellowed, shriveled, or deformed
- Heavy curling and crinkling across most leaves
- Sparse canopy — fewer leaves, patchy growth
- Branch dieback and overall tree stress
Where it shows up:
- Symptoms spread throughout the entire tree
- Often visible from a distance (canopy thinning)
What it means:
At this stage, the tree is under significant stress. Some trees may not recover without intervention.
